Accessibility audit and fixes for the Spin website on Webflow, working with PNW and an external auditing team.
Working with PNW, I helped make Spin's Webflow website as accessible as possible. Spin's micromobility service is used by a wide range of people, so it was important their website worked for everyone, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
We worked with an external auditing team to review every page of the site against WCAG guidelines. Using their findings, I suggested design and UX improvements as well as code-level fixes, then put those changes in place across the site.
Much of the work was making Webflow output better HTML: fixing heading structure, adding proper labels and ARIA attributes where needed, making sure interactive components could be used with a keyboard, and improving colour contrast and focus states. Custom CSS and JavaScript filled the gaps where Webflow's built-in components fell short.
