A playful, animation-packed WordPress website for Mute Animation, built with Oku Studio.
Mute is an animation studio, so their website really needed to move. Working with Oku Studio, our aim was to get as much fun and life into the site as possible, and having Mute on hand to animate the logos, footer and menu toggle helped us do just that.
Their animations are delivered as Lottie files, which are lightweight, scalable and crisp on any screen, and much smaller than the equivalent video. Lottie animations are loaded only when they're needed and respect users' reduced motion preferences, so the site stays fast and comfortable to use.
Page transitions with Barba.js make the site feel like one continuous experience rather than a series of page loads. Under the hood it's a WordPress build with Gutenberg and ACF blocks, so the Mute team can add new projects and keep their showcase fresh.
