Beeston Media

Beeston Media is a Bristol-based video production company, working mostly with clients in science, technology and higher education. Their work is very visual, so the website needed to put their showreel and case studies front and centre, while staying fast despite all that video.

I took over maintenance and development of their site, which was built using a headless Craft CMS back end and a Next.js front end, styled with Tailwind CSS and deployed on Vercel. Craft CMS gives the team a flexible, structured way to manage projects, services and team members, while Next.js pre-renders pages so they load almost instantly.

Over the last couple of years I've helped the team constantly improve the website with new features and design updates, as well as a major Craft CMS version upgrade. Together, we've streamlined content management, making it easier for the team at Beeston to update their website, supporting their growth and SEO rankings.

Video is handled carefully so visitors aren't downloading huge files they never watch. SEO is handled in Craft, giving the team control over how each page appears in search results and when shared on social media.
